The inbox can become the experience
At first, multiple matches feel exciting. Then the threads accumulate: a joke you meant to answer, a long question from yesterday, a few chats that have never moved beyond “How’s your week?” Eventually you are managing conversations rather than having them. Keep a small number of active chats, reply when you can give a proper answer and gently close threads that are going nowhere. It is not rude to stop collecting conversations you cannot sustain. It is more respectful than disappearing beneath a pile of notifications.
Move a promising exchange into real life
If the tone feels good, suggest a public meeting or a short call rather than maintaining a two-week text ritual. Not every conversation needs to become a date, but the option should be allowed to exist. The point of the app is connection, not permanent correspondence.
Keep in mind
